An exchange of gunfire Monday night and Tuesday between security forces and gunmen resulted in the deaths of seven suspects, and one national guard officer in Raoued, a northern suburb of Tunis, according to Tunisian officials.
Kamel Ghadhghadhi, suspect in the assassination of leftist politician Chokri Belaid, killed one year ago this week, was one of the gunmen, according to Minister of Interior Lotfi Ben Jeddou. Read more.
