Hundreds demonstrated in London on Saturday in protest against coalition government cuts to social services.
Many groups including Anonymous, UK Uncut and anti-fracking organisations converged on London's Trafalgar Square to march against government austerity. With some wearing the Guy Fawkes mask, peaceful demonstrators marched past 10 Downing Street and war memorials, ending their march at the steps of the Houses of Parliament.
The protest comes in the wake of Chancellor George Osborne's announcement that a further £12 billion ($19.7 billion; €14.56 billion) of cuts to welfare still need to be made to secure economic recovery, as well as a further £13 billion ($21.35 billion; €15.78 billion) of cuts to the local government budget. The announcement sparked disunity in the Coalition, with Deputy PM and Liberal Democrat leader, Nick Clegg, calling Conservative plans a "monumental mistake"
